Video: Heavy Snowfall in Nizhny Novgorod; Airport Not Accepting Flights

On October 17, following morning rains, heavy snow and snowdrifts fell in the Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod. Traffic on the roads has slowed down, according to local media reports.

According to meteorological forecasts, snow accumulation is expected to continue in the city and region for several more hours.

Earlier in the morning, several trolleybus routes in Nizhny Novgorod were altered due to flooding on the roads, and the airport is not accepting flights.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations is warning residents about wind gusts reaching 25-30 m/s on Tuesday and Wednesday.
