This Will Be a Long War: Israeli Defense Minister

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, speaking today in Tel Aviv alongside Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, reaffirmed that Israel will always have the support of the United States, according to CNN.

Blinken stated that the US is deeply committed to Israel's right, and moreover, its responsibility, to defend itself and its people.

Gallant, for his part, warned, “This will be a long war.”

“The cost will be high, but we will prevail for Israel, the Jewish people, and the values believed in by both nations,” Gallant said.
