Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi had a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron on October 15. The parties discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by Mohammad Jamshidi, Deputy Director of Political Affairs in the Iranian President’s Office.
He stated that the phone call between Ebrahim Raisi and the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, took place at the initiative of the French side, as reported by IRNA.
“During the negotiations, the Iranian president emphasized that in light of Israel's ongoing aggression against the Palestinians, war crimes, and killings, as well as the blockade of Gaza, there is a possibility of complicating the situation and opening other fronts,” Jamshidi informed.
