Inter Working to Extend Contract with Mkhitaryan, Report Says
AC Milan’s Inter is reportedly looking to extend the contract of midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to Quotidiano Sportivo. The Armenian midfielder is willing to stay at the club.
The club is offering the 34-year-old player a contract that would run until 2025, along with the possibility of extending it for another season. At the same time, Inter is prepared to maintain Mkhitaryan's current salary, which amounts to €3.8 million per year. The midfielder's existing contract with the Milan club is set to run until the summer of 2024.
Mkhitaryan has been playing for Inter since 2022. In the current season, the former captain of the Armenian national team has participated in eight matches in Serie A, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist.
The 34-year-old midfielder has also received an offer from one of the clubs in Saudi Arabia, where he has been promised a doubling of his salary.
