Gaza Strip Hospitals Can Only Operate for 2 More Days
Hospitals in the Gaza Strip, which have been left without electricity due to the Israeli blockade, will only be able to maintain operations for two more days. This information has been released by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
“The fuel for backup generators in all hospitals in Gaza will only be sufficient for 48 hours of operation. The shutdown of these generators will immediately jeopardize the lives of thousands of patients,” the statement said.
The organization also pointed out that Gaza has been without electricity for 4 days now, putting critical sectors like healthcare and water supply on the brink of collapse.
