US Does Nothing to Restrain Israel, Says Iranian Foreign Ministry

The United States is concerned about the potential expansion of conflict in the Middle East but does nothing to restrain Israel. This was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian at a press conference in Beirut.

“Americans call for restraint from all sides, yet at the same time, they allow Israel to continue its aggression and commit criminal acts by killing innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip,” he emphasized.

“If the US truly seeks to prevent the spread of war in the region, it must restrain Israel,” he added.

As the Iranian diplomat noted, Washington “calls for peace and security in the region, but at the same time continues to send weapons and provide military support to Israel.”
