Former Presidents and Generals of Artsakh Establish Contact with Family Members
On September 27, Major-General Davit Manukyan, the deputy commander of the Artsakh Defense Army, was illegally detained by Azerbaijanis. Two days ago, he had a brief phone conversation with family members. This information has been confirmed to NEWS.am by Gegham Manukyan, a member of the Armenia parliamentary faction.
The media has learned that former presidents of Artsakh and General Levon Mnatsakanyan have also established contact with their relatives.
As a reminder, Azerbaijani border guards have detained and subsequently imprisoned former State Minister and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan, former Defense Army commander Levon Mnatsakanyan, and former deputy commander of the Defense Army Davit Manukyan, as well as former presidents Arkadi Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan, and Arayik Harutyunyan.
On September 30, Azerbaijani media reported that former Foreign Minister of Artsakh Davit Babayan was also detained in Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that former high-ranking officials detained in Baku have been charged with various illegal accusations. All of them have been imprisoned for four months.
