Pentagon Chief Austin Expected to Visit Israel Tomorrow

The U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin is expected to visit Israel on October 13, according to Israeli newspaper Haaretz.

"Austin is anticipated to arrive in Israel on Friday," the publication states. Further details are not currently available.

On October 12, talks were held in Tel Aviv between U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Prior to the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the Washington representative for his country's unwavering support. In turn, Blinken firmly shook Netanyahu's hand and embraced him with encouraging words, stating that the United States "is not going anywhere."
