Artak Galstyan's Wife Released from Custody

The wife of Artak Galstyan, the president of the Public Voice party, who is accused of complicity in the illegal circulation of drugs and money laundering, was released a few days ago. This was stated in an interview with the publication 'Hayastani Hanrapetutyun' by Nana Sargsyan, a member of the Public Voice party council.

'Yes, Artak Galstyan's wife has been released, a few days ago; I cannot specify an exact date,' she noted.

When asked on what grounds she was released, Sargsyan emphasized: 'She has been released but is prohibited from leaving the city... I cannot discuss any further; this is sufficient.'

The media also inquired whether a request had been made to release Artak Galstyan as well. Following the elections in Yerevan and especially after Tigran Avinyan was elected mayor, many have claimed that Dog's Public Voice has struck a deal with the authorities to ensure the release of its members in exchange for quorum support. In response, Nana Sargsyan stated:

'We cannot say anything regarding Galstyan at this point; as for striking a deal, that is absurd and even prompts laughter— the court's decision is not final, the process will continue.'
