Tigranashen Resident Will Live His Daily Life, Administrative Leader
After Nikol Pashinyan signed a document in Granada, it became clear that Armenia recognizes the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
In addition to the Republic of Artsakh, eight Armenian villages considered enclaves will fall under Azerbaijani control. Pashinyan confirmed this during an interview yesterday.
The administrative leader of the enclave Tigranashen, Lyudvig Stepanyan, stated in a conversation with MediaHub that he cannot clearly say what the process of exchanging enclaves entails, but one thing is certain: they are the owners of their village.
“The residents of Tigranashen will live their daily lives. It is their home, their land, and their water. But I cannot answer what the ongoing process will be. It is not that a situation has now matured where we have to leave the village; no one has told us that we need to abandon the village,” he said.
Stepanyan noted that these issues should be addressed to the competent authorities. “Perhaps we misunderstand some things or interpret them incorrectly, but they should clarify what is being exchanged and for what reasons,” he added.
