During the military conflict against Israel, the number of casualties in the Gaza Strip has reached 1,100, according to the health ministry of the enclave. The agency has also reported that more than 5,300 people have been injured since the escalation began in the Gaza Strip. Russia's ambassador to Israel, Alexander Ben Zvi, informed TASS that the number of residents killed in the country due to the intensification of the conflict with Palestine has reached 1,300, with an additional 3,700 people injured.

"As of Wednesday at 18:20, 1,100 civilians have died, and another 5,339 have been injured," the Gaza health ministry stated in a release published on the department's official Facebook page. Earlier reports indicated that "at least 900 people" had died in the Gaza Strip.

The war between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic movement Hamas began early on the morning of October 7 with a barrage of hundreds of rockets fired into Israeli territory. On the same day, militants invaded a music festival, where the bodies of 260 attendees were later found.

Yesterday, on October 10, the Israeli Defense Ministry announced a transition to a "full-scale offensive." A representative of Hamas has promised to kill one hostage without warning, in response to the strikes on the Gaza Strip. Reports state that at least 100 Israelis are currently held hostage by Hamas.
