Poland Begins Evacuation of Its Citizens from Israel

Poland has begun evacuating its citizens from Israel. The first plane carrying 120 citizens of the country landed at Warsaw's airport early this morning. This was reported by a BBC correspondent.

Two more evacuation flights from Israel to Poland are planned.

"The first evacuees from Israel have already arrived in Poland. I want to thank our military for their successful operation," wrote Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak on Twitter.

According to the defense minister, as of Sunday, around 200 tourists from Poland, including a group of schoolchildren, were expected to be evacuated from Israel.

Approximately 200 Polish soldiers are participating in the operation to evacuate Polish citizens.
