Israel Appeals to Egypt for Assistance in Releasing Israelis Held by Hamas

Israel has reached out to Egypt, requesting assistance in the matter of releasing Israelis abducted by Hamas. This was reported by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

It is officially unknown how many hostages have been taken by Hamas militants. However, it has been indicated that there are numerous women and children among them.

According to The Jerusalem Post, unofficial reports suggest that following the Hamas incursion, approximately 750 people have gone missing.
