IDF Releases Names of Soldiers Killed in Operations Against Palestine
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has published the names of 26 soldiers who lost their lives during military operations against Palestine, reports the Times of Israel.
Among the deceased are brigade commander, Colonel Yonatan Steinberg, communications company commander, Lieutenant Colonel Sakhar Mahlouf, and deputy commander of the "Maglan" unit, Major Chen Buchris.
This marks the first time the Israeli army has lost a colonel since the 1973 Arab-Israeli war, known as the “Yom Kippur War.” During clashes with Hamas, the IDF has also seen the loss of captains, one junior lieutenant, sergeants, corporals, and privates. Three of the deceased are female soldiers.
