Death Toll from Earthquake in Afghanistan Exceeds 2000
The death toll from the earthquake in western Afghanistan has surpassed 2,000, with more than 9,000 injured, according to Western media reports.
"The number of fatalities resulting from the earthquake in Afghanistan stands at 2,053, with 9,240 individuals affected, and 1,329 homes damaged or destroyed," reported Reuters, referencing the Ministry of Natural Disasters.
It is noteworthy that a powerful earthquake measuring 6.3 in magnitude struck western Afghanistan.
