Hamas Claims Israeli General Nimrod Alon Captured

Hamas asserts that Israeli General Nimrod Alon has been taken captive near his home at the border. Members of the group have been posting and sharing videos on Telegram showing themselves walking over the bodies of fallen Israeli soldiers in various neighborhoods of Gaza, taking military personnel hostage, including women. Residents have also been seen taking shelter in garbage cans from the gunfire.

In one of the videos, members of Hamas are seen escorting a man in pants, who, according to the Telegram channels, is a senior Israeli military officer. Brigadier General Nimrod Alon was the commander of the Gaza Division until August 2022.
