Armenian Sambo Wrestler Defeats Azerbaijani Rival in Finals

Armenian sambo wrestlers have secured 1 gold and 1 silver medal at the World Sambo Championship for juniors and youth. This was reported by the Armenian Sambo Federation.

The gold medal was won by 71 kg junior wrestler Mher Ohanyan, who triumphed 3:1 against his Azerbaijani opponent in the finals. Earlier, he defeated a French wrestler 8:0, a Russian competitor 4:1, and a Kazakh athlete 8:0.

In the 98 kg junior category, Arsen Hayrapetyan lost in the finals 3:1 to Valery Gerasimenko from the FIAS-1 team, earning a silver medal.

It is noteworthy that the World Sambo Championship for juniors and youth is being held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, with athletes from 26 countries participating.
