Video: "Closure of the Lachin Corridor in Artsakh and Recent Events Were Inevitable" - Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin participated in the plenary session of the 20th meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club. In his keynote speech, he addressed various topics, including international politics, regional issues, security structures, nationalism, the state, and the international situation.
Referring to the recent war, Azerbaijan's actions, and the situation in Artsakh, Putin stated: "What happened in Lachin, the closure there, and the situation in Artsakh was inevitable after Armenia recognized Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan. It was only a matter of time as to when and how Azerbaijan would establish constitutional order there. And all of this occurred within the framework of Azerbaijan's constitution. Well, Armenia has recognized it, while we do not. That would be nonsensical. The Brussels declaration had no order to it - integration, regarding the issues of the rule of law. Michel and his associates should have thought about this when they were persuading Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan; they should have considered the fate of the people of Artsakh," added Putin.
