Over 80 Dead, Nearly 240 Injured in Terrorist Attack on Syrian Military College
At least 80 people have been killed and about 240 injured due to an attack on a military college in Homs, Syria. This was reported by Syrian health authorities according to local media.
The Russian service of the BBC reported that the terrorist act has resulted in more than 100 casualties.
The state-run Sana news agency published a statement from the country's military command, which claims that several drones conducted an explosive attack on the Homs military academy immediately after the graduation ceremony of cadets.
Military officials from the country have blamed "terrorist groups supported by well-known international forces" for the attack. So far, neither opposition forces nor jihadist groups have claimed responsibility for the attack, although initial reports indicate that the drone was launched from areas in the northwest of Homs controlled by the opposition.
