Displaced Persons from Artsakh to Be Served Out of Turn in Passport Offices
The head of the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Armen Ghazaryan, has detailed which areas of Artsakh most of the forcibly displaced individuals have arrived from.
According to him, the overwhelming majority—over 45,000—have come from Stepanakert, more than 15,000 from Martuni, over 13,000 from Martakert, and more than 10,000 from Askeran.
Addressing the issue of citizens without ID documents or who have lost them, Ghazaryan stated that they should approach passport services and submit an application regarding the loss of their identification document to initiate the recovery process.
“Despite the fact that we had fully transitioned to an online appointment system for passport services in Yerevan, our compatriots forcibly displaced from Artsakh will be served outside of this system in an expedited manner,” noted Armen Ghazaryan.
