Video: UN Mission Arrives in Artsakh After Nearly 30 Years

The UN mission has arrived in Artsakh. The delegation passed through Aghdam and moved towards the Askeran-Stepanakert direction.

This is the first visit by a UN mission to the region in nearly 30 years. It has been reported that the members of the mission have traveled from Aghdam (Aqna) to Askeran and Stepanakert.

The purpose of the mission is to assess the situation on the ground and determine the humanitarian needs of the residents. The delegation includes representatives from various UN agencies.

The Armenian side had previously insisted that a UN mission should be sent to Artsakh during the blockade period. Now, nearly the entire indigenous population of Artsakh has left their homes. The mission has arrived only afterwards.
