Drone Shot Down Near Sochi Airport
The head of Sochi, Alexey Kopaigorodskiy, stated that the situation in the city is calm now. The local airport has temporarily restricted flights, but is currently operating in normal mode. This information was shared through Kopaigorodskiy's Telegram channel.
“This morning at 8:00, the duty air defense systems destroyed a drone in the territory of the Krasnodar region,” the mayor noted in his publication.
According to him, to ensure safety, temporary restrictions on flights have been imposed at Sochi International Airport. Consequently, flights heading to the resort have been quickly diverted to alternative airports, Kopaigorodskiy added.
“From 8:20 AM, the airport is operating in normal mode, receiving and releasing aircraft. Everything is normal in Sochi,” he concluded.
