Truck Overturns on Kajaran-Meghri Highway, Casualty Reported

A truck on the Kajaran-Meghri highway veered off the roadway and overturned, resulting in a reported fatality. This information has been confirmed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

“On September 29, at 5:37 PM, the crisis management center of the Syunik regional rescue department received a call about a traffic accident that occurred at the 242nd km of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, where the truck had overturned. There are casualties,” the statement noted.

Two teams from the Ministry’s regional rescue department have been dispatched to the scene. Before rescuers arrived, the driver was hospitalized.

The rescuers cut off the power to the vehicle and, with the assistance of a crane, removed the passenger's body from under the truck and placed it in a mortuary vehicle.
