Azerbaijan's State Security Service Transfers Ruben Vardanyan to Baku
Azerbaijan's State Security Service has reported the arrest of former Artsakh Prime Minister Ruben Vardanyan, who has been transferred to Baku.
It is noteworthy that his wife, Veronica Zonabend, has made a statement regarding Vardanyan's arrest: "This morning, my husband, philanthropist, businessman, and former Prime Minister of the Republic of Artsakh Ruben Vardanyan, was arrested and captured by Azerbaijani authorities at the border while attempting to leave Artsakh with thousands of other Armenians fleeing the Azerbaijani occupation. During the ten months of blockade, Ruben stood shoulder to shoulder with the people of Artsakh, sharing their hardships and fighting for their survival. I pray that my husband is released unharmed and seek your support," the statement reads.
