Former Deputy Head of YEKM Albert Bazeyan Arrested

The former head of the parliamentary Yerkrapah group and former Deputy Head of YEKM, Albert Bazeyan, has been arrested. However, no charges have been filed against him at this time, stated Bazeyan's lawyer, Hakob Jhangiryan.

It has been reported that Bazeyan was taken into custody on September 23 in connection with an alleged assassination attempt against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and an attempted usurpation of power.

"Albert Bazeyan was arrested from his residence on the evening of September 23," the lawyer said. As for what actions Bazeyan's legal team plans to take, Jhangiryan did not elaborate, noting that further information would be provided if available.

Lawyer Jhangiryan emphasized that he cannot disclose any other details, as the investigation is ongoing.
