‘Baku Claims Only Military Targets Are Under Fire: We Want to Hope This Is True’ - Peskov

The Russian Federation acknowledges that the current situation in Nagorno-Karabakh is an internal issue for Azerbaijan. This was stated by Peskov in response to reporters' questions.

“Of course, Nagorno-Karabakh is an internal issue for Azerbaijan. And Azerbaijan is acting within its territory, which is recognized by the leadership of Armenia,” Peskov added.

Peskov also noted that there is still no reason to speak about ethnic cleansing. For this, there are direct contacts, during which we convey our concerns.

“We hear statements from Baku that only military targets are being targeted. And that they are not targeting civilians. We want to hope that this is true,” said the Kremlin spokesman.
