Serob Naltakyan Arrested on Suspicion of Inciting Violence: Investigative Committee

A decision has been made to arrest Serob Naltakyan on suspicion of publicly inciting violence and justifying violence in front of the government building. This was announced by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

The basis for such a decision is the public calls for violence made by 1991-born Serob Naltakyan using mass media or information and communication technologies, as well as the public justification of violence.

Specifically, he announced in the presence of many individuals and under the coverage of media that, through a loudspeaker: “If the negativity isn’t understood well, we will pour it on this building. If necessary, negativity will be poured on all the buildings. We must act together. If we’re going to break something, we will break it together. Let’s invite as many people as we can here. Let’s ask, beat, cheat, and persuade them. Once they come here, they will understand what the issue is. As soon as they arrive, we gather, fill the square, those who understand will understand, and we will give to those who don’t.”

Considering that there are apparent signs of a crime in the aforementioned statement, criminal proceedings have been initiated by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia in the investigative department of Yerevan under Article 330, Part 2, Clause 3 of the Criminal Code.

A decision has been made to arrest Serob Naltakyan, and measures are being taken to present the mentioned individual to the prosecuting body.

It is noteworthy that Serob Naltakyan participated in the 2016 Four-Day War and the 2020 44-Day War.
