France Refuses to Impose Restrictions on Entry of Russian-Plated Vehicles

France has decided not to impose restrictions on the entry of vehicles with Russian license plates. The press service of the French Embassy stated that Paris will not follow the example of other EU countries and will officially announce the lack of such limitations.

Earlier, Alexey Chepan, the first deputy chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the State Duma, had suggested that Russia close its borders with European countries that have banned the entry of Russian vehicles into their territories. He added that it is necessary to significantly raise tariffs for those countries, and Russian businessmen should search for other markets.

It was reported that Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Germany had imposed restrictions on the entry of vehicles with Russian license plates. The ban was introduced by the European Commission.
