You Have Lost the Opportunity to Be Represented by a Council Member Like Davit Khajakyan: Marukyan
The Special Representative of the Republic of Armenia, Edmond Marukyan, the leader of the "Bright Armenia" party, made a post on his Facebook page:
“Dear Yerevan residents, as of now, based on the counting of votes from all precincts in Yerevan, Davit Khajakyan, a candidate of technical sciences and a member of the Yerevan Council from the LHK party list, has not been elected to the future composition of the Yerevan city council.
Davit Khajakyan has properly, honestly, and diligently represented the interests of Yerevan residents in the city council and in the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe over the past years, without any remuneration.
Since he was not elected in this electoral campaign, Davit Khajakyan can no longer represent the interests of Yerevan residents in the council. Davit Khajakyan has lost the opportunity to serve you, while you have lost the chance to be represented by a council member like Davit Khajakyan.
We express our deepest gratitude to every citizen who voted for the LHK team and Davit Khajakyan. We will cherish each of your votes, your trust, and we will continue to work and fight for a sovereign, democratic, and modern Republic of Armenia.
At the same time, we congratulate the political forces elected by the people to the Yerevan city council and wish them success in the management of Yerevan.
God bless the Republic of Armenia,” he wrote.
It should be noted that the Central Electoral Commission presented preliminary results of the voting for the Yerevan city council as of 10:00, from all 475 precincts in Yerevan.
According to the voters’ register of the Yerevan community, 824,250 citizens are registered, with 234,436 citizens participating in the voting, which is 28.44% of the eligible voters.
