Video: Sobyanin Officially Takes Office as Mayor of Moscow

Sergey Sobyanin has officially assumed the office of Mayor of Moscow today, expressing his gratitude to Muscovites for their high praise during the electoral campaign.

“In carrying out the powers of the Mayor of Moscow, I vow to uphold the Constitution of the Russian Federation, federal legislation, the charter of the city of Moscow, and the laws, honestly and conscientiously performing the duties entrusted to me, serving the prosperity of the city and the well-being of its residents,” stated Sobyanin.

It is noteworthy that Sergey Sobyanin received nearly 2 million votes (77%) and was re-elected as the Mayor of Moscow.
