One Truck Went from Aknay to Askeran, the Other from Goris. That's All. Davit Babayan
Discussions about opening the road are mistaken. This was stated by Davit Babayan, advisor to the President of the Republic of Artsakh, while commenting on publications in Azerbaijani media about the simultaneous opening of the Aknay (Aghdam) - Stepanakert road and the Berdzor (Lachin) corridor at the request of a NEWS.am correspondent.
“We see that certain manipulations have begun, saying that ‘the roads are open,’ and this is being reported from both Azerbaijani and internal Armenian media. The roads are not open. It is just that enormous humanitarian loads have accumulated in the Lachin-Berdzor corridor, and the population of Artsakh is literally starving. Some form of aid needed to be delivered, at least a small drop of help, specifically flour, to Artsakh. The ICRC’s humanitarian loads have been stationed in Bardar. The truck was loaded with Swiss, Spanish, and Russian goods, mainly hygiene products and medicines. An agreement has been reached to pass this truck through Aknay (Aghdam). The driver is not Azerbaijani, the truck is not Azerbaijani, the license plates are not Azerbaijani, nor are the goods, so that 20 tons of flour can be transported from Goris to starving Artsakh. This is just a drop in the ocean of suffering,” Babayan stated.
According to him, the road is not open. “One truck went from Aknay to Askeran, the other from Goris. That's all,” Davit Babayan said.
It should be noted that a parallel passage of goods has been carried out today through the roads of Aghdam and Lachin.
