The Illegal Blockade of the Lachin Corridor Has a Negative Impact on the Peace Process, Says Pashinyan

“It is clear that the deepening humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh and the illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor have a negative impact on the peace process,” Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a press briefing with reporters.

“We believe that we are losing enormous time due to this situation; the same energy could have been redirected to discussions of the peace treaty, providing more energy and time for it,” he noted. According to him, they are currently working to change the situation regarding the opening of the Lachin corridor, eliminating the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh, and facilitating dialogue between Baku and Stepanakert.
