VIDEO: Employees of Three Automobile Companies Strike in the USA
In Detroit, Michigan, approximately 13,000 employees at three automobile factories have halted production and declared a strike. This information has been reported by the Associated Press.
Earlier, the United Auto Workers (UAW) announced that workers would walk out of the three factories in Detroit at midnight if a labor agreement with auto workers was not reached. A strike was anticipated at the facilities of General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis.
Prior to this, representatives of the union, which unites workers from several American auto giants, had indicated the possibility of a mass strike this year if an agreement on working conditions with the companies could not be reached.
According to CNN, union members are demanding higher wages, improved benefits, enhancements to pension plans, and other working conditions.
