This is a complex incident: Peskov on the investigation into Prigozhin's death
The Kremlin does not believe that the investigation into the plane crash of Wagner Group founder Yevgeny Prigozhin is proceeding slowly. Spokesman Peskov described the crash of Prigozhin's plane as a complex incident, thus indicating that the investigation is also intricate. Therefore, it would be premature to provide any comments at this stage.
"The investigation is ongoing," he added, hence any commentary would be premature.
Previously, Peskov had mentioned that one of the main theories regarding Prigozhin's plane crash was a "premeditated crime."
It should be recalled that the Embraer-135, a Brazilian-made private aircraft used by the founder of the Wagner PMC, crashed on August 23 in the Tver region. All ten people on board were victims of the aviation disaster. Eyewitnesses claim there was an explosion on the plane.
