Roller Breaks 3 Concrete Power Poles and Capsizes on Abovyan-Yerevan Border

Today, on September 14, an emergency incident occurred at the border of Yerevan and Kotayk Province. Around 20:20, a roller, used for asphalt paving, crashed into two concrete power poles on Duryan Street under yet to be determined circumstances, and ended up capsized within the administrative territory of Yerevan.

According to shamshyan, preliminary reports indicate that there were no casualties as a result of the accident. In addition to the two power poles, another pole situated on a private property was also damaged. As a result, some electric wires were torn down, with part of them fallen while others remain suspended in the air.

Currently, employees of the electricity network are removing meter boxes from the downed poles and the fallen wires, and are attempting necessary operational actions to replace the toppled poles with new ones and restore the power supply within hours.

The police service is investigating the identity of the roller driver.
