Over 70% of Azerbaijanis Support 'Counter-Terrorism Operation' in Artsakh

Over 70% of Azerbaijanis have expressed support for conducting a 'counter-terrorism operation' in Nagorno-Karabakh. This information has been reported by Azerbaijani media.

According to a survey by the Azerbaijan Social Research Center, 71.3% of Azerbaijani citizens are in favor of military action against what they refer to as 'illegal armed groups' in Artsakh. Meanwhile, 24.1% of respondents opposed such action, and 4.6% found it difficult to respond.

It should be noted that by 'illegal armed groups,' Azerbaijan is referring to the regular army of the Republic of Artsakh, and Azerbaijani authorities have often exploited the issue of the army's withdrawal and dismantlement through various channels. Against the backdrop of troop accumulation along the Armenia and Artsakh borders, the discussion of such themes by Azerbaijanis further indicates that new provocations and escalations by Azerbaijan cannot be ruled out.
