MMA Fighter Jeff Monson Becomes a Deputy of United Russia in Bashkortostan Parliament

MMA fighter Jeff Monson has assumed the position of a deputy in the Bashkortostan parliament. He announced this to TASS.

Monson ranked fifth in the party list of 'United Russia', which secured 87 out of 110 mandates in the kurultai (parliament) following the elections on September 10.

In May, Monson won in the primaries of 'United Russia'. Known for his pro-Russian statements, Jeff Monson obtained Russian citizenship in May 2018, after which he became a deputy of the Krasnogorsk city council in the Moscow region from 'United Russia'. In 2023, he announced that he had renounced his U.S. citizenship and submitted his passport to the consulate in Istanbul.

Monson is 52 years old. In MMA, he has achieved 61 victories, 26 losses, and two draws.
