Two of the Arrested Were Croatian, One Armenian: Details
On the evening of September 11, during the Armenia-Croatia match, a dispute that led to a skirmish resulted in the arrest of three individuals, two of whom were Croatian fans and one Armenian. This information was confirmed to Sputnik Armenia by Gor Abrahamyan, spokesperson for the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
“A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident under Article 195 (Physical Influence) of the Criminal Code of Armenia,” Abrahamyan stated.
He also reported that all three individuals have already been released and do not have any bodily injuries.
We previously reported that the conflict during the Armenia-Croatia match at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium ended with the arrest of three people.
It is worth mentioning that during the match held in Yerevan on September 11, our team lost to the Croatians with a score of 0:1.
As part of the Euro 2024 qualifying group stage, the Armenian national team will play its next match on October 12 against Latvia, the last-place team in the group.
