VIDEO: "Matemyans have 3 children - Gudin, Dubin, and Egin" - is this a normal text for a textbook? A question to the minister
What concerns you about the fact that mathematics is explained through someone's family? This was stated by Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan in a conversation with journalists in parliament, responding to a question about whether the following sentence is a normal text for a textbook: "Matemyans' parents are Adin and Budin, they have three children - Gudin, Dubin, and Egin."
"I see nothing unusual in our children naming family members in some way and learning the subject through them. If the names need to be revised or changed, we will collect opinions on new textbooks from teachers, parents, and students throughout the year, and, of course, we will make all necessary adjustments accordingly," she said.
