Novak Djokovic Claims 24th Grand Slam Title

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic has triumphed over Russian Daniil Medvedev in the final of the US Open.

The decisive match held in New York ended with a score of 6:3, 7:6 (7:5), 6:3 in favor of Djokovic, who is ranked second in the world.

Daniil Medvedev occupies the third position in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings. The global rankings are led by Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz, who was defeated by the Russian in the semifinals.

The 36-year-old Djokovic is a four-time US Open champion and has now claimed a total of 24 Grand Slam titles. This year, the Serbian reached the finals of all Grand Slam tournaments, losing only once at Wimbledon.
