Arms Supply Network to Ukraine Uncovered in the US

US arms dealer Mark Morales has supplied more than $200 million worth of weapons to Kyiv, becoming one of the largest non-state suppliers to Ukraine. Information about Morales's supply chain and connections with corrupt Ukrainian officials was revealed by The New York Times.

It is reported that Morales has built an entire business around supplying arms to Kyiv. His company, Global Ordnance, has a contract with the Pentagon for over $1 billion worth of munitions. Additionally, he has signed a separate deal directly with the Ukrainian side to supply $200 million worth of weapons.

The newspaper explains the success of the supply volume through Morales's connections with the Ukrainian leadership. One of the key advisors to the arms dealer is Vladimir Kofman, an American sergeant of Ukrainian descent who has served in the National Guard of Ukraine and is now the chief sergeant of territorial defense in Ukraine. Morales has also hired an advisor to former Ukrainian Defense Minister Denis Vnashi.

The authors note that due to such connections, the businessman holds an unfair advantage over other arms manufacturers.
