Fight for the Legacy of Wagner Founder Prigozhin Begins
The battle for the legacy of Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of the Wagner private military company, has commenced. A case has been opened in one of the courts in St. Petersburg. According to the federal registry, the businessman's date of death is noted as August 23, 2023, the same day Prigozhin's business jet crashed in Tver.
Prigozhin's heirs include his mother, Violetta, his wife, Lyubov, his two daughters, Polina and Veronika, and his son, Pavel. Reports indicate that Prigozhin was the owner of the Russian Concord group of companies, which includes businesses in food, media, and construction. It is also believed that Prigozhin owned 49% of Aurum LLC, the Aurum Production film company.
A source, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated that by the deceased leader's will, nearly all of his assets will be transferred to his 25-year-old son, Pavel. The source also expressed the view that the private military company's founder's son is 'under the influence of certain individuals, making it difficult to regard him as an independent figure.'
