VIDEO: 19 and 24-Year-Old Residents Paid for Ordered Food with Fake 20,000 Dram Bills
The police have uncovered a case of fraud regarding payment for ordered food with counterfeit 20,000 dram bills. This information has been reported by the police.
On August 23, a citizen who called the police reported that they encountered an unknown individual in front of a building on Brusov Street in the Avan administrative district, who had ordered food via an application. The cost of the order was 23,000 drams, and the buyer paid with two counterfeit 20,000 dram bills and received change.
On the same day, another similar report was received. The mechanism of the crime was identical. It has been revealed that the fraud was committed by two residents of the Avan administrative district, aged 19 and 24.
It is worth noting that Auroranews has documented that one of the Telegram pages advertised on TikTok is selling counterfeit banknotes. Upon examining the page, it became clear that it primarily deals with counterfeit variations of 20,000 dram bills.
