Rafael Nazaryan Resigns as Head Coach of Armenia’s U-21 National Team

Following the first round of the qualification phase for the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, Armenia's head coach Rafael Nazaryan announced his resignation during a press conference after the match against Albania, according to Armsport.

When asked about the reason for his resignation, Nazaryan stated that it was due to the results and then left the conference room.

It is noteworthy that the Armenian youth national team started the qualification phase with a defeat. In the first round of the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifiers, Armenia faced Albania at the Abovyan-based Vahagn Tumasyan Stadium, losing the match 1:2.
