VIDEO: Armenia's National Football Team Prepares for Matches Against Turkey and Croatia

The Armenia national football team has begun preparations for matches against Turkey and Croatia. A training camp has started at the Football Academy in Yerevan ahead of the Euro 2024 qualifying games. This information was reported by the Press Service of the Football Federation of Armenia.

It is noteworthy that Turkey will host Armenia for the return match in Group D of the Euro 2024 qualifying tournament on September 8. According to the Turkish Football Federation, the match will take place at the Atatürk Stadium in Eskişehir. The Armenia-Croatia match is scheduled for September 11.

Recall that the Armenia national team has played three qualifying matches so far; they lost to Turkey in Yerevan (1:2), but then achieved two victories against Wales (4:2) and Latvia (2:1). After these three games, Armenia occupies second place in the group with 6 points (they lead Turkey on goal difference, but trail due to a direct loss in their meeting).

The group favorite is the Croatian team, which has 4 points. Additionally, Rostov player Khoren Bayramyan, as it is known, has not joined the national team's camp this time due to not receiving an invitation from head coach Alexander Petrakov. While various publications in the sports press discuss the topic of Bayramyan's non-selection, the player himself has addressed this issue: "Petrakov has not explained his decision. Of course, as a footballer, I am not pleased, but I am wholeheartedly with my team; we will work hard," the player stated.
