Olaf Scholz Injured While Engaging in Sports

The Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, has canceled his visit to Hesse scheduled for Sunday, September 3. Scholz sustained injuries while participating in sports, according to Frankfurter Rundschau.

He fell while running and suffered bruises to his face, a spokesperson for the federal government stated. However, his meetings scheduled for the upcoming week will remain unchanged.

During his visit to Hesse, Chancellor Olaf Scholz intended to pay tribute to his party comrade Michael Roth for his 25 years of service as a member of the German Bundestag. Roth had invited the Chancellor to his hometown, where the politician from the Social Democratic Party of Germany took his first steps in local politics at a young age.
