Defense Ministry Urges Not to Mislead the Public
On September 2, around 14:00, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense published a video of the use of UAVs. Immediately after this publication, the Azerbaijani propaganda machine began spreading false news claiming that the Armenian side had casualties and injuries from the UAV strike.
At 15:48, the Armenian Ministry of Defense issued a statement denying (and still denies) the information from Azerbaijani media regarding casualties and injuries on the Armenian side as a result of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces' UAV strike. We reiterate that on September 1, due to Azerbaijani provocation, the Armenian side suffered 3 fatalities and 2 injuries.
Later, at 23:53, the Ministry of Defense reported that on September 2, around 17:30, two servicemen were killed due to an explosion during engineering works in another part of the border area.
The Ministry of Defense urges that the aforementioned timeline and the sequence of events, as well as the content of the reports, should not be deliberately distorted to mislead the public.
