The Forces Demanding Araik Harutyunyan's Resignation Are Not Guided by State Interests, says Hovik Aghazaryan

Aliyev keeps the flames of war alive, intending to turn it into active military operations at a time favorable for him. I do not rule out that forces may concentrate on the border to distract our attention and carry out operations from another location, but we are getting stronger every day and are ready to give a worthy response.

In an interview with 24TV, Hovik Aghazaryan, a member of the National Assembly from the "Civil Contract" faction, expressed this opinion.

Referring to the resignation of Artsakh President Araik Harutyunyan, the deputy stated: "The forces that have demanded Araik Harutyunyan's resignation aim to achieve regime change in Armenia as well. They are driven by a satanic thought, not by state interests. A terrible scenario could unfold as a result of their activities, leading to the loss of Syunik."

According to him, some forces may reach agreements with Baku: "Syunik will join Artsakh, becoming the Second Republic, while Baku will have a corridor to Nakhchivan, resulting in relative peace. In any case, the situation in Artsakh is dire; those taking on the responsibility of governing the country—how do they see the solution? Some groups, under the influence of external forces, may play out the Zangezur-Artsakh scenario," Aghazaryan noted.
