Russia's Ambassador Invited to Nobel Prize Ceremony, Sparkling Controversy

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has announced that the decision to invite Russia's ambassador to the Nobel Prize ceremony has "outraged many both in Sweden and Ukraine."

"The Nobel Foundation makes its own decisions. But I wouldn’t have invited Russia if I were in charge of the award ceremony," Kristersson told Aftonbladet. He admitted that he has not yet decided whether to attend the event or not.

Liberal Party leader Johan Persson has stated that he will not participate in the award ceremony. Central Party leader Muharrem Demirok has also announced that he will not attend the event.

Today, the Nobel Foundation announced its decision to invite ambassadors from Russia, Belarus, and Iran to the 2023 Nobel Prize award ceremony.
