Russia to Have 1 Million Specialists in UAV Production Sector, Says Putin
The industry of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is developing rapidly, and Russia may not have enough even with 1 million specialists, whom it plans to train by 2030. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a public lesson titled "Conversation on Important Topics."
“By 2030, we have a program to train 1 million specialists in this field. This may even be insufficient since the industry is evolving very quickly,” said Putin.
Starting this academic year, Russian schools will begin teaching the principles of UAV usage. This will be integrated into the basic military training courses conducted in schools under the classes "Fundamentals of Homeland Security and Defense,” and will be mandatory.
As part of the module “Fundamentals of Technical Training and Communication,” students in grades 10-11 will learn how UAVs are utilized in combat and reconnaissance. Furthermore, they will need to understand the "algorithm for countering enemy drones" and possess practical skills in operating UAVs.
